1. About us

This website, our workshop services and our online parts shop are provided by Honda Repairs, Ireland (“we”, “us”, “our”).

We're an independent specialist. Honda is a trademark of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. We aren't connected with, or approved by, Honda or its dealer network. Where we mention Honda or other manufacturers, it's only to describe the vehicles we work on and the parts we sell.

In these terms, a “consumer” is someone buying for purposes that are mainly outside their trade, business or profession. Some sections give consumers extra rights. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Your account

  • You need an account to buy parts online. You can also use it to see quotes, job sheets and workshop jobs we've linked to you.
  • Please give accurate details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
  • We only link your account to your workshop records when the email address matches the one we hold for you.
  • You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend an account that's being misused.

3. Workshop services

Enquiries and bookings

Quote requests, booking requests and messages sent through this website, by phone or on WhatsApp are enquiries, not bookings. A booking is only confirmed when we agree a date with you.

Quotations

  • We send quotes as a private link. Each quote shows the work, the parts and labour, the total and, where relevant, the date it's valid until. If there's no date, it's valid for 30 days.
  • A quote is based on what you've told us and what we could see at the time. Some faults can only be properly assessed once work has started.
  • You can accept or decline a quote using the link, or tell us directly. Each issued quote has a version number. Once issued, it isn't changed. If anything changes, we issue a new version.
  • Where a fault needs investigating, we'll agree the cost of the diagnosis with you before we start. We'll then tell you what we found and agree the cost of the repair before going further.

Extra work

If we find further work is needed, we'll contact you before doing it. We'll only carry out extra work once you've agreed to it, either through a new version of your quote or by phone, WhatsApp, email or in person. We keep a record of what was agreed. If we can't reach you, we'll stop and wait. The only exception is work needed to make the vehicle safe to move or store, and we'll tell you about that.

Parts used in repairs

  • Where it makes sense, we'll offer you a choice of parts, for example genuine, aftermarket or good used parts. Your quote or job sheet shows what was used.
  • We're happy to fit parts you supply yourself, subject to a check that they're suitable. If a part you supplied turns out to be faulty, incorrect or unsuitable, the part itself is a matter between you and whoever sold it to you, and any extra labour is charged.
  • Ask us if you'd like your old parts back. Otherwise, we dispose of them responsibly. Parts that are exchanged with a supplier (for example, units with a surcharge for the old part) can't be returned to you.

Deposits

We may ask for a deposit before ordering parts for your job or booking in a large job. We'll tell you the amount first, and it's deducted from your final bill. If you cancel after we've ordered parts specifically for your job, we may keep enough of the deposit to cover any parts we can't return to the supplier, and any restocking charge. We'll refund the rest.

Your vehicle while it's with us

  • Please remove valuables, and tell us about anything we should know, such as a locking wheel nut key, alarm or immobiliser, or an existing fault or damage.
  • We take reasonable care of your vehicle while it's with us, and may road test it where that's needed to diagnose a fault or check a repair.
  • Older or corroded vehicles carry some risk that seized or weakened parts (for example bolts, brake pipes or exhaust fixings) break when they're worked on. If we think that's likely, we'll tell you first. Where it happens despite reasonable care, replacing those parts is extra work, and we'll agree it with you.

Collection and payment

  • We'll let you know when your vehicle is ready. Payment is due on collection unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Your job sheet shows the amount due and how to pay.
  • We may keep the vehicle until the bill is paid.
  • Please collect your vehicle promptly. If it isn't collected within a reasonable time after we've told you it's ready, we may charge a reasonable storage fee. We'll always tell you before any storage fee starts.

If something isn't right

We carry out work with reasonable care and skill. If you think something isn't right with work we've done, please contact us as soon as you can, before anyone else works on it. We'll inspect it and put right anything that's our fault, at no extra cost. This is in addition to your rights as a consumer.

Modifications and performance work

Road-going modifications must meet safety, emissions and roadworthiness requirements, including the NCT. You're responsible for telling your insurer about modifications. Engine swaps and some other changes may also need to be notified to the motor tax office. We'll tell you if we think a modification wouldn't be road legal.

Accepting a quote online: your right to cancel

If you're a consumer and you accept a quote online or by phone without visiting us, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days, you'll pay for any work done and parts ordered for you before you cancel. The right to cancel ends once the work is complete. To cancel, contact us using the details above.

4. Buying parts online

Prices and payment

  • Prices are in euro. Shipping is charged per item, depends on the destination, and is shown in your basket and at checkout. You see the full total before you order.
  • Payment is by bank transfer or Revolut, using the details in your order confirmation. Please use your order number as the reference so we can match your payment.
  • We don't take card details on this website.

Placing an order

  • When you place an order, we reserve the parts for you and email you an acknowledgement with payment details. This acknowledgement isn't an acceptance of your order.
  • The contract is formed when we confirm we've received your payment.
  • If we don't receive payment, we'll send reminders. Orders still unpaid after our reminders are cancelled automatically and the parts are released. You can also cancel an unpaid order yourself in your account.
  • We may decline or cancel an order, and refund anything you've paid in full, if a part becomes unavailable, or a price or description was clearly wrong.

Shipping prices on request

If shipping to your country isn't listed, you can ask us for a price. We'll email you a link that refills your basket with the price included. The order is then placed and paid for in the usual way.

Delivery

Delivery areas, charges, times and customs are explained on our Shipping & delivery page. Many parts are sent directly from our suppliers. Delivery times are estimates. If a part is going to be much later than estimated, we'll tell you, and you can choose to wait or cancel for a full refund. Parts are your responsibility once they're delivered to you, or to someone you've nominated.

Customs and import charges

If you're outside Ireland, or a part is sent to you from outside your country, you may have to pay import taxes, duty or a handling fee on arrival, unless we told you before you ordered that they're included.

Fitment and fit checks

  • Fitment information on our product pages is a guide. Please check the part against your vehicle before ordering, ideally by part number, and ask us if you're unsure.
  • You can ask us to check it fits before you order. We check it against the vehicle details you give us. If we confirm a part fits and it doesn't fit the vehicle you described, we'll treat it as an incorrect part (see below). This doesn't apply if the details you gave us were wrong or incomplete.
  • Parts should be fitted by a competent person, following the manufacturer's instructions. Some parts, such as brakes, steering and suspension parts, are safety critical.

Used and reconditioned parts

Used parts are described as accurately as we can, and are sold as used. Wear consistent with the part's age and mileage isn't a fault.

Cancellations and returns

All sales of parts are final. We don't accept returns if you change your mind or order the wrong part, except where the law gives you a right to cancel, or a part is faulty or incorrect. See our returns policy for details, including the 14-day right to cancel for consumers buying online.

Faulty or incorrect parts

If a part is faulty, not as described or isn't what you ordered, you're entitled to a remedy under consumer law. As a consumer in Ireland, you can generally reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you're entitled to a repair or replacement and, if that isn't possible or doesn't work, a refund or a price reduction. Start with our returns form, and see our returns policy for how it works. This doesn't cover damage caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, accident or modification.

5. Our responsibility to you

  • If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable.
  • We aren't responsible for damage or loss caused by parts bought from us being fitted incorrectly, or used for a purpose they're not intended for.
  • For business customers, we aren't liable for loss of profit, business or income, and our total liability for an order or job is limited to its price.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited.

We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, courier or supplier disruption, or customs delays. We'll tell you as soon as we can, and do what we reasonably can to reduce the delay.

6. Using this website

  • Please don't misuse the website. That includes trying to access accounts or data that aren't yours, sending spam through our forms, or interfering with how the site works.
  • Quote and job sheet links are private to you. Anyone with the link can view the document, so please only share it with people you trust.
  • Photos and content on this site belong to us unless stated otherwise. Please don't copy them without permission.
  • We'll do our best to keep the site available and the information on it accurate, but we can't guarantee that it'll always be uninterrupted or free of errors.

How we use your personal data is explained in our privacy policy, and the cookies we use are explained in our cookie policy.

7. Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, please tell us first at Email us or on 087 433 9953. Include your order number, quote or job reference if you have one. We'll do our best to sort it out quickly and fairly.

If we can't resolve it, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission explains your rights. If you live in another EU country, ECC Ireland can help with cross-border disputes. For smaller claims, the Small Claims procedure in the District Court is a low-cost option.

8. Changes and governing law

  • We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here when you place an order, accept a quote or leave your vehicle with us applies to it.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts can hear any dispute. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and can bring a claim there.
  • If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
