Cookie policy
What cookies we use, why, and how to change your choice.
Last updated 24 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use as few as possible. Optional cookies are only set if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time here or with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Your choice:
Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to work, so they don't require consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| hondarepairs | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session, or up to 24 hours if you choose “remember me” |
| hr_cart | Remembers the parts in your basket | 30 days |
| hr_consent | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
| .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| .AspNetCore.Mvc.CookieTempDataProvider | Shows one-off messages, e.g. “added to basket” | Session |
| _GRECAPTCHA (Google) | reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam and abuse | Up to 6 months |
Optional cookies (only with your consent)
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics) | Helps us understand how visitors use the site, using anonymised statistics | Up to 2 years |
| Google Maps cookies | Set by Google when the map on our contact page is shown | Varies, set by Google |
If you choose essential cookies only, we won't load Google Analytics, and the map on the contact page is only shown if you click to load it. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Other browser storage
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| hr-ship-country (local storage) | Remembers the delivery country you chose in your basket, so shipping is shown for it next time | Until you clear your browser data |
| hr-ga-* (session storage, only with analytics consent) | Stops the same order or enquiry being counted twice in Google Analytics if you reload the page | Until you close the tab |
WhatsApp and other links
The WhatsApp button doesn't set any cookies on this site. If you use it, WhatsApp opens and its own privacy policy applies. Links to other websites, such as suppliers or Google, are covered by those sites' own cookie policies.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in and the basket from working.
